Our Design Process

Our process begins with a design consultation, evolves into selecting materials and finishes, and crystalizes into a shop drawing for approval. After final approval we make your door into a reality!

Design Consultation

Zendoors produces a shop drawing based on your technical requirements and design taste. Materials and finishes are selected at this point

Production

Our in-house artisan woodworkers produce your door after your approval is received. They are then finished in a professional spray booth, if the option is chosen.

Installation

A professional installation team will install your door, along with all hardware and accessories. The team will explain to you the basic operation instructions of your door.

Construction

Our custom doors are manufactured by cladding face material on a sectional base of either steel or wood construction.

‍Steel-backed doors (R16.00 or greater) provide superior stability and greater insulation value.

Wood-backed doors (approx. R12.00) are completely customizable in size and shape.

Windows and other elements are added per customer requirements.

Materials

Our custom doors are made with the material of your choice! Whether a traditional door made of solid wood, a modern door made of metal and glass, or a contemporary door using composite materials, zendoors will source the material required to realize your design.

Our Finishes

Custom color matching available. Colour samples are shown on oak and are as accurately reproduced as possible. Colours vary based on application technique, wood type and lighting conditions.
